Another successful fundraising luncheon was held again at the Royal Oak Hotel Balmain.
The Mark Moran Group, Vaucluse, one of our long time sponsor and supporters, submitted a team to participate in this year’s City to Surf. The aim was to raise funds to support the prevention and treatment of child abuse, on behalf of the Cornucopia Committee Inc.
We hosted a very successful Race Day at Royal Randwick, attended by our Patron, Mrs Linda Hurley. 120 guests enjoyed a lively day and we again raised much needed funds for the prevention and treatment of Child Abuse.

Our 2015 Cheque Presentation was held at the Royal Oak Hotel, Balmain where we distributed funds raised to the Chid Protection Units at both Randwick and Westmead Children’s Hospital, CAPS, The Royal Hospital for Women and the Royal North Shore Hospital.
At our October Committee Meeting we hosted a visit from representatives of the Children’s Hospital Foundation headed by Eva Dellow, the Community Fundraising Manager. Members of the Cornucopia Committee visited the Royal Hospital for Women Randwick where we heard about the progress they are making with Child Abuse Survivors Becoming Amazing Mums – CASBAM. This invaluable service helps to bond previously abused mothers with their newborn babies. We are sponsoring this wonderful program.
