2019 Spring Lunch and Fashion Parade at the Royal Oak

5 September 2019

What a spectacular day ! The sun was shining and the room looked gorgeous with spring flowers on every table. Filled to capacity, the room was alive with chat and laughter. Truly a lovely event hosted by our Treasurer Maureen Thornett for the 15th year !!! Neil Grigg, Milliner presided as our MC, Bortoli provided the wonderful wines and long standing supporter, Ryan Clifton conducted the auction. The Cornucopia Committee sincerely thanked supporters including Andrew Meats, Get Fish and Saskia Grandiflora for their contributions to the success of the day.

Our guest speaker was Mr Reegan Barber, Head of Partnerships & Policy of the Child Abuse Prevention Service (CAPS) who spoke of their new visions in Child Abuse. CAPS has now relocated from Ashfield to the city under their new CEO, Tracey Howe. We were privileged to meet Tracey at our last Cornucopia meeting. The organisation will again host the Safe Children Conference 2019 to be held in October.

Once more we were treated to a wonderful fashion parade provided by Moira of Strelitzia Balmain featuring Trelise Cooper fashions and amazing hats by Neil Grigg. The models looked gorgeous and our guests were impressed and entertained.

With fund raising increased from last year, it was indeed a successful day enjoyed by all !
