Our signature lunch was hosted again by Verun at Manjits who, with his wonderful staff, always ensure a successful event. The room looked even more colourful than in previous years, which set the scene for a wonderful day.
Guests, representatives of the CPU’S and supporters were all warmly welcomed by our President Maureen Thornett, and we all mingled prior to lunch enjoying Manjits delicious hor d’oeuvres.
A great lunch was followed by the Bollywood dancers looking gorgeous in blue and silver, encouraging our guests to engage in the dancing frivolity with them. Great fun !
Our Guest Speaker Rachel Wolfe – Manager Northern Sydney Child Protection Service updated us on the important and new initiatives carried out by their dedicated professionals, thanking Cornucopia for their ongoing support.
The day went to plan with the successful auction run by Ryan Clifton, our loyal auctioneer. Along with our impressive selection of auction prizes was an art piece was donated by Artist, Varundeep Kaur, (Varun’s wife) and a Manjits Lunch or Dinner including premium wine valued at $500. We are ever grateful for their support. Neil Grigg also displayed a great selection of his beautiful hats for sale as well, adding yet more colour and interest.
Maureen again thanked all, including our hard working committee, for their contribution in ensuring the success of this unique fundraising event.
