The ever colourful day began with each guest receiving a welcoming bindi. Manjits were also celebrating the Indian festival of Holi – where soluble paint is applied to some our willing guests. Much fun!
Maureen welcomed guests and thanked Manjits for welcoming us back since 2016. Our guests from the Child Protection Units were welcomed along with our Guest Speaker Dr Jacquiline Pearson.
Delicious canapes champagne was served followed by a spirited exhibition by the Bollywood dancers who encouraged all our guest to join in the fun and celebration. Manjits wonderful buffet was served and enjoyed by all.
Maureen introduced our guest speaker Dr Jacqui Pearson from Parvan Services Child Protection Unit Royal North. Jacqui has recently joined the Parvan Team as the Paediatric Clinical Lead. Her speech was heartfelt and provided a wonderful insight into their so important work.
The day followed with Maureen introducing Ryan Clifton, our auctioneer. Auction prizes were bought, raffles drawn and won – all in a very happy and joyful atmosphere
Dessert was served while Maureen thanked our Sponsors Jamie and Victoria Carrol and De Bortoli along with Ryan and the auction bidders.
The happy afternoon closed with Maureen thanking Manjit, wife Varun and Mentioned Manjit’s recognition as being one of NSW.s top 25 most influential Indian Australians. From little restaurant in Potts Point, he has cultivated a remarkable hospitality empire spanning Restaurants, event management, catering services and innovative pre-packed meals in Australia.
