Bollywood Lunch at Manjits 2019
For the third year Verun and his team at Manjits @ The Wharf excelled themselves hosting a successful fundraising day for Cornucopia.
The food was absolutely superb, delicious canapes were followed by traditional Indian dishes. Of course, this was accompanied by a selection of wine provided by our sponsor Bortoli, for which we are always most appreciative.
We were entertained by the Bollywood dancers once again who encouraged our guests to join them in the dancing. Many of us participated and a fun day was had by all.
Mr Jeff Taylor, General Manager of CAPS (Child Abuse Prevention Service, Ashfield) talked about the work they do with families in the prevention of child abuse and mentioned that the Safe Children’s Conference, at which we were represented in 2018, will be held this year in October.
Ryan Clifton conducted our auction which was very competitive and contributed significantly to the overall success of the day in raising further much needed funds to support the prevention and treatment of child abuse.
