We celebrated Christmas, our last function for the year and our Cheque Presentation to the CPUs in the festive surroundings of The Australian Club.
The day commenced with cocktails and entertainment from two talented musicians from the Conservatorium of music.
We were warmly welcomed by our host Mr Nicolas Hardwick who ensured our day was a success.
Maureen Thornett, our President responded, thanking Nicolas who was standing in for David
Herlihy, as our host for the day. Maureen welcomed our guests and representatives of the CPUs’ as well, then made a short speech to discuss the day’s events.
The Dining Room was adorned with Christmas festivity, with many thanks to the Committee, and we al enjoyed a delicious, traditional lunch. This was followed by our Auction and Raffle, and a short parade of Anna Schmidts jackets.
Maureen carried out the Cheque Presentation ot our CPUs’ which was followed by an amazing speech by Dr Grace Wong, Head of the CPU Westmead.
A final highlight of the day was a tour of the amazing Art Collection undertaken by Nicolas. A large audience joined him and were very impressed.
At the conclusion of a wonderful day, Maureen sincerely thanked Dr Grace Wong, our host Nicolas, all our guests and our hardworking Committee Members for their continued support in contributing to our success.
