The venue was spectacular at the Sealevel Restaurant at Cronulla overlooking the ocean.
A beautiful sunny day and the room was filled to capacity with happy guests and supporters.

We would like to acknowledge the work of these dedicated professionals and their teams for their commitment to the treatment of Child Abuse. This is why we are here today to help raise funds for this ever increasing mistreatment of innocent children by hurting them mentally emotionally and physically.

The Committee was kindly invited by Elise Jennings, General Manager of the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation to join them for an evening of immersive storytelling, featuring stories of heart, hope and strength.

Welcome and thank you for coming today and supporting the Cornucopia Committee in their mission to help children and families where there has been abuse and neglect.

Another successful Race Day featuring Mr John Gatfield OAM as our MC, bringing with him his long involvement in the racing industry including thoroughbred owner and breeder, as well as anchor on Sky Racing and Sky Thoroughbred Central. We were assured of a great day of racing as well on the Randwick track.

What a colourful and fun filled day. We were welcomed on arrival with bindis for the ladies, and an absolutely delicious cocktail – St-Germain Hugo Spritz, courtesy of CEO Luiz of Diageo, served by members of our wonderful committee.

We celebrated Christmas, our last function for the year and our Cheque Presentation to the CPUs in the festive surroundings of The Australian Club.

The Child Protection Unit at Westmead sees some of the most vulnerable children and young people in our community. Our doctors, social workers, and allied health staff at the CPU provide a clinical service to children who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse and serious neglect.

We were invited to the hospital to show us the new medical room Cornucopia has helped to fund. We were warmly welcomed by Melanie, Robyn Lamb – Department Head of the CPU, Dr Grace Wong and their colleagues in the Child Protection Unit.

Dani is a Social Worker from the Child Protection Unit at Sydney Childrens Hospital, Randwick attending in company with CPU Allied Health Manager, Bernadetta Walsh and Senior Social Worker Clare Stewart.
